Brussels: On 30 May 2026, the Tibetan Cultural Centre (TCC) in Belgium, through its Jamyang Lophel schools, organised a cultural show in the evening, with the Tibetan Liaison Officer for Europe, Dhundup Gyalpo, attending as the chief guest.

The programme brought together students from the six Jamyang Lophel schools operating under the Tibetan Cultural Centre. With the aim of preserving and promoting Tibetan culture, the event was hosted in the Tibetan language and provided students a platform to present traditional songs, dances, poetry recitations, and instrumental performances.

During the event, the special guest, Dzogchen Ranyak Patrul Rinpoche, addressed the gathering, highlighting the immeasurable benevolence of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama. He encouraged students and community members to take pride in their Tibetan identity and to devote greater attention and effort towards preserving the Tibetan language and cultural heritage.

In his address, the chief guest, Dhundup Gyalpo, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the many dedicated individuals, particularly those deeply committed to Tibetan religion and culture, whose tireless efforts have helped develop the schools into thriving centres of learning and cultural preservation.

“These Tibetan language and culture schools are not merely educational institutions; they are central to our identity and purpose as Tibetans,” he said, while encouraging continued and sustained efforts to strengthen Tibetan language and cultural education for future generations.

During the programme, the Tibetan Liaison Officer presented certificates from the Department of Education of the Central Tibetan Administration to outstanding students as well as to teachers who had completed three and five years of service.
