United in Compassion: An Exhibition on the Shared Values of His Holiness the Dalai Lama and the House of Compassion Underway in Brussels

November 24, 2025

Brussels, 24 November 2025: The Office of Tibet in Brussels in collaboration with the House of Compassion opened a month-long exhibition titled “His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama of Tibet: Celebrating 90 Years of Wisdom and Compassion” in the heart of Brussels on 24 November 2025. While the event is a local initiative, it ties into the global observance of the Year of Compassion in honor of His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s 90th birthday.

The exhibition pays tribute to the exceptional journey of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, a univesally recognised spiritual and moral figure who has dedicated his entire life to promoting compassion, peace and non-violence. Through a series of illustrated panels, photographs and quotes, this exhibition, retraces the major stages of his life: from his childhood in Tibet to his exile in India, from his struggle for human dignity to becoming an emblematic figure of wisdom on the world stage.

“The decision by the House of Compassion to host the exhibtion on His Holiness not only aligns with the institution’s core mission as a thematic church focused on the fight for social justice, its commitment to serving the underpriviliged and steadfast support for marginalised groups and those affected by conflict align with the universal values articulated by His Holiness the Dalai Lama, but also underscores his life-long commitment to harmony among diverse religious faiths. In this sense, the choice of venue was not merely ftting, it was obvious”, said Rigzin Genkhang, Representative of His Holiness the Dalai Lama.

The exhibition is a living invitation to embody compassion and mirrors the mission of the Church in this space. In celebrating His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s legacy, the House of Compassion reaffirms its own commitment to foster a more just, caring, and inclusive society.

This exhibition will remain on display until Wednesday, 24 December, providing opportunity for the visitors not just to admire compassion, but to live it in their daily lives, in their community, and beyond.
