The Tibetan community in Belgium on Saturday hosted the celebration of His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s 88th birthday.

Apart from the Tibetan dignitaries based in Belgium, the celebration was attended by the visiting Tibetan parliamentary delegation who are on Tibet advocacy tour of Europe.

Representative Genkhang apprised the gathering of the purpose of the parliamentarians’ visit and briefly explained the various meetings they have had with the lawmakers and diplomats. The three parliamentarians addressed the gathering, answered the queries and clarified the doubts raised during the public address.

Cultural performances were organised by the students of the Jamyang Lophel and Sherab Nangjey weekend schools.
