Paris: The Tibetan Communities in Europe began its second annual general meeting at Rigpa Centre in Paris, this morning. The meeting will be held from 18 December to 19 December 2021.
The two-day meeting was convened by the Tibet Bureau in Geneva and European members of Tibetan Parliament in Exile in close coordination with Offices of Tibet based in London, Brussels and Paris’s Tibet Bureau coordinator.
Over 26 representatives from Tibetan communities- presidents, vice presidents and executive members-from Austria, Belgium, Czech, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Spain and Switzerland & Liechtenstein are participating in the meeting.
The meeting will discuss various agenda, inter alia, reaffirming profound gratitude to His Holiness the Dalai Lama and pledge to serve for the cause of Tibet which includes strengthening of Tibet advocacy in Europe and ways to improvised cooperation in the implementation of Central Tibetan Administration’s projects and initiative in respective countries including payment of green book and blue book contributions. The members also discussed a resolute campaign against Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics and thereafter formulated five resolutions.
The discussion for each agenda will be held in five meeting sessions. Representatives of offices of Tibet based in Europe; Representative Chhimey Rigzen; Representative Sonam Frasi and Representative Tashi Phuntsok, and Europe members of Tibetan Parliament in Exile; Ven Thupten Wangchen and Thupten Gyatso, will chair the meeting session each.
