On 23 October 2024, a Tibetan Parliamentary delegation consisting of Tibetan Parliamentarians Geshe Ngaba Gangri, Tsering Yangchen, Tenzin Jigdal, and Thupten Gyatso met with Jean-Luc Romero Michel, Deputy Mayor of Paris responsible for Human Rights and Geneviève Garrigos, Councillor of Paris.
During their meeting, they discussed the current critical situation in Tibet, situation of Tibetans in Paris, among other issues.
In the afternoon, the Tibetan Parliamentarians held a fruitful meeting with members of the Socialist Party’s Foreign Affairs Committee in the French National Assembly: MP Dieynaba Diop, MP Pascale Got, MP Stéphane Hablot, and MP Pierre Pribetich.
During the meeting, they provided detailed information about the critical situation inside Tibet and strongly urged for the re-establishment of a Tibet Support Group in the Lower House of Parliament, as existed previously.
The delegation was joined by Representative Rigzin Genkhang from The Office of Tibet, Brussels and Coordinator Thupten Tsering from the Bureau du Tibet in Paris.
