Brussels: The office of Tibet, Brussels, hosted a lunch for former MEP Csaba Sogor, a longtime old friend of Tibet during his visit to Brussels.
During his two terms in the European Parliament from 2009-2019, MEP Sogor was an active member of the Tibet Inter Group and was most generous with his time and resources. He visited Dharamsala a number of times and has met with the highest leadership. He supported, sponsored and co-sponsored numerous resolutions, conferences and exhibitions on His Holiness the Dalai Lama and Tibet in the European Parliament. He was also one of the very first MEPs to accept Tibetan interns in his office.
Representative Tashi Phuntsok and EU Advocacy Officer Rigzin reminisced their visit to Transylvania in 2017 on Mr Sogor’s invitation during which numerous Tibet related events were organized.
Expressing his gratitude and appreciation, Representative Tashi Phuntsok assured Mr Sogor that the doors of office of Tibet, Brussels, will always be open to old friends like him.
