The four-member French Senate Delegation who are visiting Dharamshala received an audience with His Holiness the Dalai Lama at his official residence this morning.
The visiting delegation comprising Senator Jacqueline Eustache-Brinio, Senator Else Joseph, Senator Olivier Rietmann, and Thierry Munier, Civil Servant in Senate was accompanied by Jigme Dorji, a staff of the Bureau du Tibet, Paris, who introduced them to His Holiness the Dalai Lama.
In their interaction with His Holiness the Dalai Lama, they were reminded of the universal duty to achieve a genuinely peaceful world reiterating that self-centredness is the cause of all conflicts based on superficial distinctions. He stressed the oneness of humanity adding that all humans are compassionate by nature and taught these distinctions at schools.

During their stay in Dharamshala, the French delegates are scheduled to visit various Tibetan institutions – educational, cultural, religious and social and have exchanges with the representatives of the Tibetan civil societies in and around Dharamshala.
