Bureau du Tibet, Brussels, Organises Talk Session on Introduction to Buddhism and SEE Learning for Tibetan Weekend School Students in Belgium

On Sunday, 15 September 2024, the Office of Tibet in Brussels organised a talk session on introduction to Buddhism and SEE Learning education, featuring Geshe Lhakdor, Director of the Library of Tibetan Works and Archives.

The event, held for the Tibetan students of the Jamyang Lophel Sunday School and Sherab Nangje Weekend Language School, drew a vibrant audience of over a hundred, including Representative Rigzin Choedon Genkhang, Thinley Wangdue, Secretary of the Bureau du Tibet in Brussels, as well as parents, teachers, and many Tibetan community members.

Representative Rigzin Choedon Genkhang began the session with a warm welcome and an overview of the speaker’s background and the importance of the discussion.

From 10 a.m. to 12 a.m., Geshe Lhakdor shared insights on fostering happiness and accumulating merit for both this and the next life. Later that afternoon, he spoke about how integrating SEE Learning principles into daily routines can enhance one’s happiness in this life. Following his talk, Geshe Lhakdor addressed questions from the audience.

The Office of Tibet extended its gratitude to the Jamyang Lophel and Sherab Nangje schools for their efforts in arranging the venue and accommodations for the event.
